SBV Luxury Ocean Hotel Suites

I booked in August 2025 for the end of October and got a check-in confirmation just a couple of days before the reservation. After taking an Uber from the airport, I discovered the building had been shut down in September. Nobody had notified me despite having my contact details, and there was no one on site to help. The manager couldn't be reached, and customer service couldn't sort it out. DO NOT BOOK

We were meant to arrive tomorrow for a 10-day stay, but around midnight we got a text saying the city of miami had shut the building and cut the power. It's now considered UNINHABITABLE, and no one is allowed inside. We're waiting to hear from management. They did say we'd get a full refund, which is nice. I'm sure we would've had a great stay here!

The space itself was nice, but the bed was very uncomfortable, the outdoor hot tub couldn't be used, and the AC couldn't cope with 94-degree heat and all that humidity. We had to rush to the airport and I left an expensive speaker in the bed. I had bought it that same day and know I left it there, but nobody replied when I texted the number I'd been using. I called and left a message, and got no response. Someone else said they'd pass along the message and have someone call me, but that never happened either. I ended up filing a police report. Communication was a problem from the start. I couldn't talk to anyone, and the front desk guy didn't know anything about my reservation, saying the place was privately owned. Texting was the only way I could reach someone. Be careful, if something goes wrong you're on your own, and if you leave something behind, don't count on getting it back.

We loved the rooftop tub in our condo, and the location made getting to the beach, shops, bars, and restaurants really easy. The beach and ocean view is partly blocked by another building, though. The condos are beautiful and fairly priced. The elevator was the big frustration. You had to call the front desk to get it, and they didn't always pick up, which was a pain when we were in a hurry.
