SLS South Beach

We had a blast at SLS South Beach. If you want to feel a little like a Kardashian for the weekend, this is the place. From the minute you walk in, the mood is all design, partying, and showing off. The pool is where everything happens. It’s loud music, cocktails, and beautiful people, not somewhere to sit quietly with a book. Hyde Beach is where the party really gets going, so if you like a lively scene and want to feel like you’re in a movie, you’ll be right at home. The rooms look great, with a stylish, modern design, though they aren’t very big. The bed is really comfortable and the bathrooms are amazing. It feels like staying in a fancy apartment with hotel service. The restaurants are seriously good, and while they cost plenty, the food quality is great. The staff are friendly and get things done, but with all the activity, they don’t always make you feel like the most important guest. It’s also very noisy, so it’s not a place for peace and quiet. Be ready to spend, since it’s Miami Beach and it’s the SLS. It’s definitely not budget-friendly, but if this kind of atmosphere is your thing, the experience is worth it. For style, great design, and South Beach party energy, I had a blast.

The pool staff were great, and the place definitely has more of a party feel than somewhere you'd choose for a business meeting. My room wasn't huge, but it had enough space to be comfortable. The decor was fun and design-minded, and the water view was jaw-dropping, better than any I'd had at other waterfront hotels in Miami Beach. I loved staying here.

The rooms are on the small side, so for the money you may find somewhere more comfortable. Noise can also be an issue if your room is near the pool events. Still, for a night or two, the hotel's hip atmosphere makes it worth considering. Pool party and nighttime bar access might add value, but it could cost around $40 per person per night, which adds up. Check whether access is included before booking, since it may depend on the booking method and time of year. The setting is beautiful and posh, and the location is excellent.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, from Italian, Mexican, and Cuban food to Asian options, and Little Havana is close. Restaurants around South Beach are pricier than elsewhere in Florida, but that's part of staying in this area. The art deco hotel is lovely and very well located. Just be aware that the neighborhood gets lively at night, so a town-facing room can be noisy if you want an early night. The hotel has a decent menu if you'd rather eat in, though music outside by the dining area and pool can be so loud you have to shout to staff and friends. I also found the service a little slow.
