SoBe Ocean Dr. 3 Bedroom Penthouse

I guess the place is called Casa Grande now, though they don't seem to update Google. The property feels about 15 years overdue for a remodel. The bathroom tile is awful, grimy, and gross, and the bedroom curtains let sunlight pour in, so you're waking at 6:00 a.m. when the sun comes up with no way to darken the room. Flushing the toilets sets off a horrible foghorn noise that lasts about a minute. You make plenty of money, so do better and look after the property.

The front desk service was very poor, and this place isn't worth the price. They said they'd keep the security deposit because of a broken window, even though it was already broken. It felt like a classic vacation rental scam.

I expected more from my first Miami trip, but condo 201 was a disappointment, and I couldn't wait to leave. We stayed from 5/6/25 to 5/13/25. The name change had confused us, and entry instructions came by email. We finally got the door code and went in. The kitchen had an old retro fridge, taller than a mini fridge, with a shelf above it holding 4 cups, 4 plates, and 4 bowls. There was a five burner cooktop and a top tier faucet that took me 2 days to figure out. The dish soap bottle was mostly water with a little Dawn, and the sponge was old, though the cookware was new. The bar was falling apart and the stools were small. A full size broken futon was leaning against the wall. There were two bedrooms without curtains, so the sun was bright. The TV was tiny, and with the sun shining in you couldn't see a thing. The bathroom had two toilets, one a urinal, and both were nasty. One made crazy noises. The shower was slippery, so I wore my slides in it. They kept telling us they were only the front desk for rented condos and offered nothing else, just said to call the owners. The place is cheap and on the strip, but I wouldn't recommend it unless that's all you're looking for. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣😞

We stayed in Triple Room 305 from December 31, 2025 to January 4, 2026. It sleeps 5, with a room with bunk beds and two more rooms with double beds. For 5 or 6 people, the apartment felt spacious, with a large living room and kitchen. We only needed it for sleeping since we were out every day. The location was the highlight, right on Ocean Drive with easy access to Miami. There were a few issues inside: none of the lights in the three bedrooms worked, so we used the bedside lamps. The TV in the bunk bed room was old and didn't work very well, and the TV in the smaller double room had no remote and wouldn't turn on. Reception only handles check-in and checkout. That was fine for us since the apartments work Airbnb-style and the owners handle those steps. Our booking was through Booking.com, and instructions on getting into the apartment arrived by email the day before. I recommend it for the quality and price.
