Stardust Hotel

The concierge helped me make the most of Miami, with personal suggestions for beaches, cultural spots, nightlife, local restaurants, and hidden places I wouldn’t have found myself. The team was friendly and attentive throughout my stay, and check-in felt welcoming. My room at the Stardust Hotel was bright, spacious, beautiful, and impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed and amenities that went beyond what I expected from a boutique hotel nearby. It felt peaceful and private despite being in the middle of Miami Beach, within minutes of the beach, shops, restaurants, and Art Deco sights. Breakfast was a simple but tasty start to each day. The hotel exceeded my expectations for service, comfort, cleanliness, location, and atmosphere. I’d absolutely recommend it, and left feeling I’d experienced something special.

My trip was six months away, and I wanted a hotel that would handle my money carefully and let me speak directly with someone. Booking through Booking.com turned into a mess. I kept getting prompts to update my card, but when I followed the instructions, the site said cancelling would cost $196. I tried calling the hotel several times, got no answer, and left messages without even knowing who they were for because the voicemail had no greeting. I contacted Booking.com, and was shocked they left the refund decision to the hotel when I thought my dealings were with the booking site. After the reservation was cancelled through Booking, the hotel charged the full stay to my card anyway, even though that card supposedly wasn’t working. Booking eventually reached the hotel. Then I got a detailed, professional letter saying I had a room, asking for my exact arrival time to avoid late fees, and requiring a security deposit, despite the full payment already having been taken. The situation felt like a scam, and I was scared to stay there. The hotel refunded all my money, but still blamed the cancellation on my payment declining, even though they had charged it. I also won’t use the booking site again. On 1-17-2026, a day after a reply was posted that contradicted my review, I decided to take it further and post pictures. I have no reason to lie and nothing to gain from reviews. I wish the place would own up to what happened. I have two Business degrees from LSU, and my reading and comprehension are perfectly fine. I’ll post our conversation so everyone can see the truth. This isn’t slander. The pictures show the transactions and room cancellation. A business should be able to take criticism and do better. This was bad customer service. Please reply again and prove my point. That’s my last bit of energy for this.

I’ve stayed there a few times and would book it again. The location is great, and the value for the price is excellent for South Beach.

We booked through Booking.com and spotted a clear reservation error: two rooms for two people on the same dates. We’ve spent days trying to sort it out with Stardust Hotel, but nobody answers our calls, emails, or messages. Even Booking.com has tried to reach them without a response. Their check-in rules are another problem. Reception is only open from 3 PM to 10 PM, and guests can be fined for arriving later. I’ve never run into that anywhere else. It should be made clear before booking, not buried in small print. The whole thing felt unreliable and close to deceptive. I’ve opened a dispute with my bank, and I’d think twice before booking here. A hotel that won’t communicate with guests shouldn’t be listed on a major travel platform.
