The modern furniture and low bed looked nice, though there was no headboard. The bathroom light was very dim, and the fan came on loudly with the light. There was just one set of towels, and when I asked for more face towels, I was told they had none and offered makeup wipes instead. They didn’t really clean the room either. The bed was made, but the sheets weren’t changed, and the toilet and probably the shower weren’t cleaned. The hotel is nicely decorated and has three floors, but the second was under renovation. The third floor has a very small infinity pool that fits no more than four people. There were three or four large or queen beds up there with no linens and mildew. The pool was open for entertainment, but I wouldn’t recommend hanging out there. At check-in, I was told I could only have one key even with several guests in my room because they’d run out. The kitchen and bar were closed until reopening in October. The bar looked nicely decorated, and I’m sure it’ll be nice when it opens. Hopefully the place will be gorgeous and fun when it reopens.

The service was great, and the stay was okay, but the rooms weren’t as good. Loud, drunk people on the first floor became too much after one night. Also, the bathroom is completely visible, so keep that in mind if you’re sharing with someone you don’t want seeing you in your birthday suit. There’s no parking, so don’t drive unless you’re prepared to pay $35 or more per night, on top of day parking. The small rooftop pool has games like Jenga to play.

The decor is beautiful, unique, and full of history, with plenty to look at from the lobby and rooms to the elevator and rooftop lounge. The beds are comfortable, though the rooms feel tight and have limited storage. The see-through showers can be great for couples, but awkward with family or friends. Ask the front desk for a shower curtain. The pool looks beautiful, but it’s really a jacuzzi. Staff could also be more considerate about the hotel’s recent removal from the Hilton network. They should be trained to better support guests inconvenienced by that transition.

The rooftop has hammocks, a pool, ping pong, and lounge chairs, so there’s plenty to do up there. The rooms are cool, and the views are great. It’s a quiet, quaint boutique hotel, just three blocks from the W. You’re close to everything but can still get a good night’s sleep and do it all again the next day. It’s my favorite place to stay in Miami now, though I hesitated to write this because I wanted to keep it under the radar. The mini bars are stacked, and the showers are see-through.

We stayed here on vacation with one of my best friends, who works for Hilton. The staff kept on top of everything and made sure our wishes were taken care of from arrival right through checkout. Our room had an awesome view, and if you stay here, ask for #205. Everyone was helpful and went above and beyond. The kitchen serves some amazing food, and the bartender Karel was professional and very attentive. If you love cheese, the Platter App with honey pistachio was epic. It’s a smaller three-level hotel than the Hilton, part of their Curio Collection. The top floor has a very Zen feel, with hammocks and beds for sunbathing. It was an adventure I won’t forget, and I’ll definitely be back.
