Parkway Inn Airport Motel Miami

The only real plus is being close to the airport. I paid $90 for one night, but I'd rather pay another $10 or $20 for a decent room than stay here again. The room was very dated, the heater didn't work, and it happened to be one of Miami's coldest days, with freezing temperatures. I had to sleep in my coat, and the sheets were too small. At $50, the price might be fair. Anything higher feels like a total rip-off.

We didn't feel unsafe, and it stayed relatively calm overnight. The room was fairly clean, but the sheets and towels smelled damp and musty, so check the room as soon as you arrive. The bed was pretty bad too. If comfort matters to you, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This may be acceptable if it's your only option or you're stuck on an overnight layover. At check-in, the desk clerk said they couldn't find our reservation. They only gave us a key after we showed the confirmation number.

The staff were exceptional, and the location worked well for Miami Airport and my road trip to the Glades. For the price and location, it wasn't bad, though the place has faded glory. It's not quite the bottom of the barrel, but close. At least it smelled clean, and there weren't huge stains, apart from the mold on the mirror, which takes some talent. Good for a bromance, not for momma or little ones.

We arrived after a long day of travel by rideshare, since there's no shuttle service, only to be told our online booking had been canceled. We had received a confirmation email, and the booking agent confirmed it hadn't been canceled. The motel refused to honor the rate we'd booked and was rude when we said the room should still be available. They said a room was available, but for double the price. I'd never book here again, even if it were the last place in Miami. This business isn't reliable or trustworthy.
