AC Hotel Miami Wynwood

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable for a fair price, and my stay was fine. I just don't think the hotel lived up to its four-star rating. I've been in three-star places with nicer rooms and more to offer. The rooms felt dated, and the AC was loud and erratic. Breakfast was mediocre, and there was no room service. I also couldn't get coffee in the middle of the day: the restaurant downstairs was closed, and the pool bar upstairs first said its machine was broken, then told me the next day they didn't serve coffee. That was confusing. None of this ruined the stay, but in my opinion it didn't meet four-star standards.

The restaurant was just okay, and the servers seemed distracted. We had to remind them about utensils, sugar, cream, and a few other things. Check-in was set for 3, and even though we arrived at 2:30, they made us wait until then for the room. Waiting with the kids over half an hour felt a bit silly. The hotel itself was very nice, with modern, clean, comfortable rooms. Its location near the cruise terminals also makes it handy for a night or two before or after a cruise.

We were in Miami on short notice after a death in the family, and Jorge helped us get the rooms we needed for the week. Sameerah and Collitia at the front desk were wonderful throughout: kind, friendly, professional, and quick to respond. Thank you for helping us through such a difficult week.

The rooftop views were spectacular, and both our meals were tasty and well seasoned. I had the shrimp quesadilla, while my cousin got the salmon with asparagus and salad. We both tried the Sunny Afternoon signature drink, too. Erlys was the real star. She was making drinks, taking food orders, and serving everything on her own, yet stayed personable, attentive, accommodating, and efficient. She's a one-woman show and clearly a valued employee. I was referred to the Marriott for food and drinks by a staff member at the adjoining hotel on 2.17.26, and I'm glad we checked out the rooftop bar and grill.
