AC Hotel Miami Brickell

We spent two nights here in late February 2026 and would happily stay again. The hotel's in a great spot, close to everything, and it's clean and modern. You can't beat how comfortable a Marriott bed is. The shower pressure could be a bit stronger. We also liked relaxing with a drink at the pool bar on sixth floor. I used our destination credit for a delicious Blueberry Hill.

The room was spacious, clean, and very nice. We got there early, and they were happy to let us check in ahead of time, which we appreciated. After exploring the area, we came back to relax by the pool, but it was closed, probably because it was green. The lounge chairs and umbrellas could use some care. Lots of local birds showed up, apparently treating it like a big bird bath, which was entertaining 😂. Many umbrellas were broken and tattered. Still, the pool reopened before we left for dinner, much to the delight of the kids there.

The staff were great and even let us take the employee only stairs when the elevator line got long. The pool is large and really nice, and the hotel felt new, modern, and luxurious for what we paid. We stayed two nights on vacation because it was the only affordable Marriott nearby. There are only 4 elevators and they're always backed up. They should have built more. Besides that, it was a great stay and I'd recommend it if the price is right.

I'm a longtime Marriott guest, a Bonvoy member since 2020, Lifetime Silver Elite, and currently Titanium Elite. My recent stay at AC Hotel by Marriott Miami Brickell was extremely disappointing because of charges that felt deceptive. The app lists on-site parking at $55 a day, and my folio shows $45.08 for Valet Parking, $3.16 in Parking Sales Tax, and $6.76 in Parking City Tax, totaling the advertised $55 per night. On top of that, I was charged a mandatory $30 per day “Destination Fee,” plus tax. For two nights, that adds up to more than $60 in fees, and it wasn't clearly disclosed when I booked or checked in. When I called the front desk, they said the fee had been “briefed” during my stay. That isn't accurate. I arrived on the 2nd floor, where valet is the only option, then checked in on the 6th floor. Nobody meaningfully explained a mandatory $30 daily fee. The supposed $15 daily credit was practically useless too, since it couldn't be used in the pantry/shop area. It feels like a restricted perk meant to justify an unnecessary charge rather than provide real value. I understand resort fees in resort markets, but Brickell isn't a resort. This feels like nickel-and-diming loyal Bonvoy members. Transparency matters, especially after years with a brand. This was not what I expect from Marriott.
