Courtyard Miami Dadeland

The price wasn't justified by the service or the facilities. We had to wait around 30 minutes to order breakfast because they were short-staffed. The one employee on duty was calm and patient but clearly needed help, and then the food took another 30 minutes. My sister's avocado toast was tiny, just one piece with barely any avocado, so we shared food and bought more elsewhere. I had paid for breakfast through Expedia, but it wasn't included and the hotel never gave us a coupon or voucher. Around 11:10, we found ourselves locked out of the room and had to go back downstairs to get it unlocked. The thermostat swung between too hot and too cold, and nothing was fixed after we complained. After the beach, we asked for extra towels and were told the linen order hadn't arrived, so there wouldn't be towels until 1 AM. I paid a lot for this stay and had a terrible experience, with poor service and management.

Everyone was kind and smiling, and they put simple decorations in our room when I mentioned it was my mom's birthday and that I was traveling with her. That was small, but I really appreciated it. My previous experience with Marriott Tacoma was unacceptable, and I hadn't stayed with the chain since. This stay was amazing. Thanks to Carlos & Team for restoring my trust. I travel 5+ nights a month for work, and I'm glad Marriott is back on the table for me.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff were all friendly. The room itself was quite nice, and dinner at the bistro was great with wonderful service. Breakfast, though, arrived in shifts. I finished eating before my husband was even served. We also had to wait 20 minutes for the door lock battery to be fixed, after I'd made several trips trying to work out what was wrong. Valet took a long time to bring our car, even though nobody else was waiting. There was visible wear around the hotel, including stained carpets. Despite the snags, we had a good stay.

We were in town for the Caribbean Miami carnival, and my spouse, Dexter V, and I had an incredible stay at the Courtyard by Marriott. Carlos, the manager, was friendly, approachable, and clearly cared about guest satisfaction. At check-in, Adrian M, the Front Desk Supervisor, was especially attentive and professional, going out of his way to make us feel welcome and make sure every detail was right. Both of them made us feel at home, and their hospitality showed the high standards of the Marriott brand. We'll definitely return. Highly recommend this location for its warm atmosphere and great service.
