Guest House Paradiso

The room was clean, and sharing two bathrooms wasn’t a problem when it came to getting a shower. Breakfast was okay but very basic, even for a hostel/Airbnb. If you just need a simple place to stay, this could work. There’s a bar next door with music, though Paradiso provides free earplugs, which is a plus.

The noise never really let up. A nearby bar played loud music until 1 a.m., then kept going more quietly, but we could still hear it even with earplugs. Traffic was loud enough to make it feel like sleeping in a tent, and the fight club next door blasted music during the day. On top of that, there was a cockroach in the bathroom, and only one bathroom shared by five rooms. Asking people to pay for a place like this is outrageous.

On my wife's third night, she found what we believed were bed bugs in the room and woke up with multiple bites on her hand and head. One employee ran to a store to get Nix for her hair, which we appreciated. But when we asked for a full refund, the owner only let us cancel the fourth night and refused to refund the first three, saying the bugs were termites, not bed bugs. Whatever kind they were, the place wasn't clean. The customer service was terrible.

The area around the property has abandoned buildings, auto grease yards, and chickens roaming the streets. Inside, the bathrooms were crammed with nearly empty bottles of all kinds, and there was loud music coming from the gym next door. They charge extra for resort and cleaning fees, even though the place looked like a junk-filled dumpster and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I just want to be honest.
