Hampton Inn Miami

My friend was sick and asked me to come, so I booked through Expedia for 2/26-2/28. They passed away on Sunday night before the reservation. Expedia said they’d contact the Miami hotel to try to get a refund because of the family emergency, but they couldn’t reach the hotel. I lost my friend and the $200. I would even have accepted a Hampton Inn credit. I’d given plenty of notice that I wouldn’t be coming.

The room was mostly clean, but the interiors are getting dated. Check everything as soon as you arrive or you may end up making several trips to the desk: we were short on towels, had no linens for the sofa bed, and the toilet was clogged. The desk said they’d tell housekeeping, which wasn’t much help when I was there for under 12 hours after arriving at 11 at night. The breakfast was tolerable if you’ve served in the military or spent time in prison. This was not the experience I wanted. Still, it’s a place to sleep.

The staff were nice, the room was spotless, and breakfast had far more variety than I expected. There were lots of options to pick from. I’d recommend it.

The room was clean and the staff were great, and breakfast was good. The water pressure was poor, though, and rusty water with sediment came into the sink. It seemed to be clogging the sink and shower drains, and the showerhead may have been full of buildup.
