Miami Airport Marriott

I've stayed here many times and it's been reliable each visit. Service, cleanliness, and food have all been consistent, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The showers have good pressure. It's a busy spot, but I've never had a bad stay.

The staff were very attentive, and the room and bed were good for a stopover. But there were a few things that would make me reconsider staying here. The Wi-Fi was poor, and the curtains weren't blackout or thick enough. Outside noise was blocked well, though we could hear everything from the adjoining family room, including the TV and conversation. Extras like water cost too much, and breakfast was $40, which seemed steep compared with other countries I've stayed in. It was included through the cruise line we were traveling with, luckily. It's a nice hotel, but unless they address those issues, especially the noise, I'd look elsewhere since a quiet room matters to me.

After a long flight, we were tired, hot, and desperate for a drink of water. The hotel had no bottles in the room, and when I asked to buy some at the market, they said they had none. Someone pointed us to a water container around the corner, where we squeezed out one small cup for my mother before it ran empty. At the front desk, the employee was too busy to refill it. For $400 a night, providing drinking water seems like the least they could do. That's why I'm giving it two stars. The rest of the stay was okay, but this was really disappointing.

The staff were very nice, and getting to the airport was easy. The cruise port was about 25 minutes away, and there were several places to eat nearby. The M club concierge area had the breakfast buffet, plus appetizers on weeknights, but it wasn't as nice as other concierge rooms we've used. The price was a bit high as well.
