Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay

I spend nearly 270 days a year traveling and most of that time in hotels, but I’ve never felt moved to write about housekeeping before. Leonarba at the Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay changed that. Her work was the best housekeeping service I’ve ever had. She was professional, careful with every detail, and clearly cared about doing the job well. My room was immaculate and thoughtfully arranged each day, which made a demanding travel schedule much easier. Marriott should be proud to have Leonarba representing the brand. She deserves to be recognized. Thank you for such dedicated hospitality.

The hotel itself is nice and the location is great, but the service felt like they cared more about moving guests along than giving them a good stay. For somewhere they call a luxury hotel, service was seriously lacking. When basic services aren’t provided, all you can expect is a condescending apology. I travel for work every week and mostly stay at Bonvoy properties, and this was easily one of my worst experiences. Management, spare me another condescending response that changes nothing. Save it for someone else.

For the price, this place is hard to beat. I loved the location, amenities, clean rooms and common areas, and the staff. The M Club team deserves a shoutout, especially Mike Nocie. Everyone there was friendly, kind, and helpful, with top notch customer service.

The restaurant was good, at least, and the employees were nice. But for a discounted rate of $400 a night over two nights, this didn’t feel worthy of a four star hotel. We couldn’t check in before 4 p.m., even though we’d asked for an earlier time. There was no drinking water in the room except from the sink, and one morning the shower’s hot water only worked on and off. The bags were a mess, too. We arrived at 1:30 and the front desk offered to store our three bags, giving us a claim tag. After check-in, they hadn’t brought them to our room. We called, but couldn’t reach the front desk. When we went down and showed the tag, they brought out someone else’s bags. Inconveniences happen, but all of this over a two night stay was poor value. They have a lot to figure out. I wouldn’t stay again.
