It's a nice resort if you don't gamble. There's a wide range of slots and other gambling, plus a rewards program that nobody seems to know how to use. Casinos usually use rewards to keep customers coming back, but this one feels like it pushes them away. After a hotel stay I got free continental breakfast, but after gambling and getting a complimentary room, they apparently took away perks like breakfast. A rewards program that removes benefits doesn't make sense.

The sheets seemed like cotton, and they didn't smell of bleach or irritate my sensitive skin. That was a big plus. The room itself was nice. The only downside is the cigarette smell in the elevator. We couldn't smell it in the room.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, in good repair, and nicely appointed, with prompt, friendly maid service. I found this place while looking for somewhere to get away from the northern winter, and it was easy to find and a handy base for the Everglades. The drawbacks were minor: there's no fitness center, and you have to walk through the casino whenever you come and go, though that's not surprising given its purpose. The pool in the photos is no longer there, either. It has been turned into a smoking casino, so the resort name is a misnomer now. It's a casino, hotel, and conference center.

The hotel section has a non-smoking casino, which we appreciated. We didn't have to breathe in smoke while checking in or walking to a restaurant, unlike at other casino resorts. Our non-smoking room was clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, nice sheets, and a roomy bathroom. Breakfast came with our room, but it was a basic hot hotel breakfast and nothing special. We personally wouldn't pay $15 per person for it if it weren't included. This is a great base for visiting the Everglades and taking airboat tours. There was a row of Tesla chargers in the parking lot, both DC fast chargers and free Level 2 ones. The free chargers were unexpectedly quick at 11 kWs, which made charging our EV overnight very convenient.

We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and clean our room was, considering the Miccosukee is both a hotel and a casino. The evening meal we had was prepared very well. We'd stay again.
