The main thing we expected to enjoy was the pool, but it stayed completely in the shade all day, with no sun at all. We were also given just four Nespresso capsules for four people over six days and told we'd have to pay for more. There wasn't another coffee maker, and it was hard to buy the pods at most stores. When I complained, they stopped responding and kept sending automated messages saying they hoped our stay was wonderful. The listing photos are very misleading. We booked a two-bedroom apartment expecting some charm and got a tiny, depressing utility flat. The kitchen, dining table, and two-seat sofa were all crammed into a miniature main room. Every window looked onto a dreary medical facility, and traffic noise went on around the clock. The floor was filthy: within half an hour of showering, our feet were black just from walking around. There were scuffs and other problems everywhere, including a misaligned toilet seat and damaged shades. This is nicer than a budget hotel or hostel, but there's nothing luxurious about it. Most of the other guests seemed to be single people arriving in big groups. If you want premium accommodation, stay somewhere else. I'm writing this so others don't make the same mistake we did. Don't be fooled by the false advertising and retouched pictures.

The view from our balcony was spectacular, and the pool area was amazing. Everything felt brand new, and there were plenty of sheets and towels. It's minutes from Publix, nightlife, and the beach, yet quiet enough to sleep well. Everyone at the front desk was pleasant and extremely helpful. I can't say enough good things about Nomada. We'll absolutely make it our go-to place in Miami. Thanks for a great stay!

The whole situation with my food left me feeling violated, and I still don't have adequate words for how upsetting it was. After I went back to unit #1208, the cleaning person was there. I explained that a Nomada representative had said I could store our food in the refrigerator until unit #1106 was ready. She nodded to confirm, so I put three bags in the fridge and we walked to the beach. At 1:30 p.m. I got a call saying #1106 was ready. The front desk gave me a fob for #1208 so I could collect the food, along with the fob for #1106. There was no food in the refrigerator. Someone in the hall saw I was concerned and took me to a unit across the hall, where the cleaner I'd met in #1208 was working. All my food had been taken out of the bags and left unrefrigerated on a table. It looked like someone had gone through my personal items. When I asked why, the person said, “No speak English.” I bagged everything up again and carried it to #1106. This started on Friday, Feb 13th, after I realized we couldn't go to Key West. I contacted a Nomada representative to ask about extending our stay from Feb 15-17th. My only request was that we not have to move our luggage and food to the car before the 4:00 pm check-in time. The communication was clearly confused. I understood her to say to move our things to #1106 after checkout. Later, the representative said she had recommended staying in #1208 until #1106 was ready. By then I'd already moved my luggage back to the car because of the misunderstanding. I explained by phone that some items needed refrigeration, and she suggested I return to #1208 and leave them in the fridge until #1106 was available.

Our favorite part was the balcony. It was cozy, nicely furnished, and on the 12th floor, so the views were incredible. The one-bedroom suite had ocean views, a full-size fridge, a small dishwasher, and even a washer and dryer. Everything was clean, and the furnishings and accessories felt good quality. The front desk staff were pleasant, and check-in was easy. We had a beautiful weekend and will definitely stay here again. The location worked perfectly for us: a five-minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shops across the street, and South Beach about 20 minutes away by car.

The area is fine, though I wouldn't walk around late at night. The lifts are awful, too, very slow and often full of service staff carrying out repair work. At busy times they're packed, so you have to wait. The room and building are good, but the service was poor. I booked directly, though payment went through guesty. They took two separate deposits after asking for one, then requested my card details again a couple of days into the stay for a security deposit. I queried it, and only then did they notice the mistake and refund one deposit. I was offered a late checkout and paid guesty for it, but heard nothing afterward. Then at 9.39 I saw an email from Nomada saying we needed to leave at 11am that day. I assumed there was an error and asked guesty. They said late checkout wasn't available and the money would be refunded. Would they have told me if I hadn't followed up? Offering something, taking payment, then saying it's unavailable was really frustrating, and the communication was very poor for an expensive location.
