We came back to celebrate my husband’s birthday after spending the previous weekend here. The staff were wonderful, from the bell hop to the restaurant manager. Everyone had a smile and a solution. Raul, Nabila, and Wellington are a few people whose names I remember, but everyone was super nice. There’s security all around, though it never felt intrusive. The resort sits at the far end of a secluded little island, a minute from mainland Miami. The nighttime view of the island and city is too beautiful for words. We love the old furniture and the vibe, along with oversized balconies looking over the bay, marina, and part of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a quaint, picturesque place that feels like South Florida living at its best. There’s a 24-hour pool, steam room, locker room, and hot tub with a fountain, accessible with your room key. We took a chance on booking after seeing some unhappy reviews, and we’re glad we did. This is our home away from home. We want to become members and keep coming back. If we had the capital, we’d buy the place and revamp it so it got proper recognition.

Beautiful scenery, a lovely atmosphere, and beautiful food. Some people say it’s pricey, but I didn’t see it that way, and I felt it was worth every penny. Two thumbs up. Add this spot to your list if you haven’t been. Thanks, Jax.

The waterfront setting is beautiful and romantic, with secluded views and antique-style leather seating inside. It’s clearly a place for wealthy diners. The menu is limited and not especially unique. The food was good, but portions felt small for the price, so I wouldn’t go just for the meal. We were forgotten until I got up to say something. Given how rich and swanky the clientele is, you might expect attentive service. I made a point of being grateful and humble, knowing they probably deal with people who have their noses in the air all day. Still, Chili’s gives much better service. It’s worth trying once for the atmosphere, scenery, and seclusion. 8====D

The view is amazing, but that’s the only good part. The food was mediocre, and service was painfully slow. It took 40 minutes from the appetizer to the main course, then another 40 minutes to dessert. Staff seemed confused at times about which table had ordered what, and the waiter forgot the ice cream. The salmon looked disgusting, and one of our guests sent it back. I wouldn’t return.

We celebrated my graduation on Saturday with 10 people. The restaurant is beautiful and the views are breathtaking, and the drinks were good. The food, though, was horrible. We waited a while, and the appetizers and entrees all arrived together. Everything was undercooked and lacked flavor. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.
