Renzzi Wynwood Apartments

The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower had great hot water, and the AC worked so well we had to switch on the heat for a few minutes. We slept better than we had since leaving home, and the place was very quiet at night. We’re on our honeymoon and from out of town, so at first the area felt a bit sketchy. Once we settled in, it seemed fine, and we felt more out of place and uncomfortable downtown than we did here. We couldn’t wait to get back and relax. For about $130, it was roomy and had plenty of home comforts: Wi-Fi, smart TV, couch, two rooms, microwave, stove, fridge, and kitchen table. The interior was simple and moderately clean. The bedrooms don’t have TVs, which surprised us but wasn’t a deal breaker. There was an iron but no ironing board, which was odd. The walls seemed well insulated. Security cameras are everywhere, the doors have special locks, and the gated lot has only a few cars, though there’s no chain lock for extra security. The area was quiet, and I’d read that it has a higher crime rate. Whoever handles WhatsApp doesn’t like answering calls, but got us through the gate after checking our payment. It’s a lot different from a regular reception hotel, but self service was much faster. If we visit Miami again and can’t find somewhere closer to the beach, we’d be fine staying here. For a few days with a few people, it works well if you’re comfortable with a nontraditional hotel setup.

The room was spacious, the service was good, and there was always an open spot in the large parking lot. The hotel is nicely located near Wynwood, the JMH, and not far from downtown Miami. I stayed three nights and highly recommend it.

I was left waiting at the entrance gate for over 30 minutes because they sent me the wrong pin code. After they finally sent the correct codes, they still hadn’t provided the room details. I’ve now been waiting more than an hour, and nobody is answering my calls or texts. An absolutely terrible experience. I strongly don’t recommend this place.

There were five different addresses listed, so the place was impossible to find. The receptionist was rude, and a 4 p.m. check-in is insane. Save your time and money and find an actual business.
