Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Coconut Grove

The location worked well, with plenty of restaurants in the Coconut Grove area within walking distance. Our room was spacious, but the smell was absolutely horrible. It was there every time we came back, even though we weren't spending long stretches in the room. I expected the rooms to match the hotel's exterior and was disappointed. I don't know if the full kitchen caused the smell, but if so, they need to clean better before renting the room again.

The room is spacious and comfortable, and having a kitchen and handicap accessibility has been a big help while we're in town for a month because of surgery at a nearby hospital. The younger staff have been amazing, so kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. They've made this a pleasant experience, even though the place itself isn't fancy, hip, or exciting. Management has been less friendly and helpful. It's also been difficult to communicate with the women who handle the rooms and cleaning, since we don't speak much Spanish.

The location is great, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are a bit dated, though I think they're doing renovations. My room smelled bad, so I bought candles to cover most of it. The staff quickly found pans for me and brought them to the room. The full oven in my one-bedroom was a big plus since I could cook.

The complimentary breakfast and evening dinner were excellent, with a great selection of food. The property is very clean, nicely decorated, and relaxing to stay at. The staff were extremely nice. The General Manager and Assistant Manager were friendly and clearly cared about guests being comfortable. Their guest relations were among the best I've experienced. Thanks for making my stay so enjoyable. I highly recommend the property and look forward to coming back. Thank you guys!
