The pipe burst wasn't the owners' fault, and I understand accidents happen. But we were told we'd get a full refund, with text messages to prove it, and I've still never received one. I had to chase people just to get a response, which is rude and terrible customer service. We were supposed to stay last year, but 24 hours before the booking, we were told a pipe burst had closed a bathroom and bedroom. The house was booked for a wedding party, and they needed every room, so we had to find a replacement only hours before the party was meant to fly in.

I booked through Expedia three months ahead, but the stay was disappointing. The room looks very clean in the photos and on Instagram, which is misleading because it wasn't exactly as shown online. My late-night flight meant I arrived late, but there was no keypad for the code listed in the instructions. I had to contact someone to learn the keys were in a box, and another Airbnb guest was disturbed while I tried to get in. The shower had mold, and water came out of the tub even with the curtain closed. There was no light in the room, so packing was annoying and I had to use the bathroom lights. I also saw two cockroaches during my six-day stay. The location was the only good thing, with breakfast and dinner places nearby.

Booking.com refunded our payment after they also couldn't reach the owner. I never got a door code to enter the place, and the contact number provided was no longer in service, so we found somewhere else to stay. Other reviews seem to describe a similar experience.

I was left with nowhere to stay because no one was at the property or answering the phone for help. They sent me a bad check-in link, then didn't respond to my calls or texts on check-in day.

Right in the heart of Miami, this beautiful home has a rich history. I highly recommend a visit to the Stirrup House.
