BEWARE OF DEPOSIT SCAM. My brother was in trauma ICU, so I traveled across the country and needed an inexpensive hotel near the hospital. We booked through a third-party site and weren't told there would also be a $150 deposit, though we accepted that since we're considerate guests and barely use the room. We'd stayed in many hotels and always left them extremely clean. Room #6 had a huge hole in the wall. When we checked out, they claimed we caused it and said they were keeping our deposit 😅 There's no way they didn't know the damage was already there. I can't imagine how many people they've done this to. Reading the reviews, this isn't the first alleged scam, and it looks like they keep most deposits. Not worth staying here.

The rooms look old with fresh paint over them, but that wasn't my problem. The staff put an extra $230 charge on my card. I checked the statement and saw they'd charged $230 instead of simply authorizing the $150 deposit. Hotels normally authorize a deposit, but this one processed it like a sale. I called twice, and they said it was a mistake. I'm still waiting on the refund and won't stay here again.

The price was cheap, it was quiet and comfortable overall, and the staff were kind and polite during my two-night stay. Cleanliness was awful, though. The room smelled funky, and I later found a poop-filled diaper in a trash bin by the mini fridge. The carpet didn't look clean, the bathroom seemed moldy, and they hadn't replaced or provided toilet paper. The nightstand drawer also looked moldy. The A/C was lousy and too small, positioned at the front so the back of the room, starting around the second bed, got very hot. I wouldn't stay again.

Customer service was good, and the hotel is near stores, the ocean, and a liquor store. It's an average place at best, and the sign was hard to spot at night. It's literally across the street from Burger King. The price and location felt like a case of getting what you pay for, but it's an easy straight bus ride downtown. All in all, a good experience.
