The signs of poor upkeep started at the lobby windows. The guest bathroom was broken, there was a stupid sign on the luggage cart, and the fire extinguisher was missing from its hall cabinet. Breakfast was practically nonexistent, and the juice machine only gave out colored water. I'd fire both the manager and district manager. Never coming back.

When I checked in, they gave me a whole list of rules, including no guests. I left the room in excellent shape, but they still charged me $60 for some marinara that had been wiped off with a $3 towel. Absolutely ridiculous. They've lost me for good.

The checkout situation was awful. They charged $25 for being an hour late, and even though I'd arranged it the night before, staff came pounding on my door at 11 and said they'd call the police if I wasn't out in ten minutes. There was no hospitality at all. I left in such a rush that I didn't realize until around 4 or 5 that afternoon that my medicine and other purchases were missing. I was afraid to go back because I thought they might call the police unnecessarily. I'm now without my medication, about $200 in clothes, and nearly $200 in food I bought with food stamps. Losing the food along with the medication could amount to Medicaid fraud. I tried calling the hotel and even headquarters, but no one could reach them. Now I'm sick and can't sleep. The medicine was for my heart, blood clots, fibromyalgia, arthritis, nausea, severe mental health issues, insomnia, and PTSD related nightmares. My sister eventually reached someone there, who said only the maid had keys to the rooms. That makes no sense to me, since if your key stops working, you can ask them to make another one. Also, they charge $3.50 for a 20-ounce pop. Terrible service all around.

The hotel felt comfortable and elegant, and the food was good. The staff were warm and attentive, and everything looked neat and clean. Its location was handy for getting to the main spots nearby. I'd happily come back.
