We ended up at red roof inn after some unfortunate events left us unsure about what came next, including having to stay in a hotel until things improved. It was our second choice, but turned out to be the best one. The super 8 down the street lied about rates and availability, and the staff there seemed like robots. Here, they made me, my wife, and my kids feel welcome and more comfortable with our situation. The rooms are always clean, the staff are kind, and they've been quick and happy to help whenever we've had a problem. I'm not ashamed to say it's our second, temporary home for now. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

It'll do if you need somewhere in a hurry, but the bed was kind of hard and my back hurt. Some of the light switches were questionable. The bathroom light wouldn't turn off all the way, and sometimes it only worked if you also switched on the light by the mirror and sink.

We arrived at 12:30AM to find the front desk door locked. Once the attendant let us in, he was surly and spoke poor English. We'd booked a king bed but got two double beds and were charged extra. The first room had no working heat or phone, so we couldn't call the front desk to complain. With our two dogs, we had to go around outside in 25° weather to reach the next room, where the heat barely worked anyway. That room had no phone either, and there were bugs and stains on one of the bedspreads. The TV remote wouldn't work with the TV. The bathroom door had a hole that looked like a punch mark, and something had been taken off the wall without repainting or fixing the holes. After that terrible night, all we asked at checkout was to have the pet fee refunded as compensation, but they refused.
