There’s plenty of parking, and it’s a peaceful place to stay. I’ve been coming to my canopy Inn when I visit Ocala for the last 6+ years. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are what you'd expect for the price. I'd recommend this motel if you want an affordable place to stay.

The cats on site made the stay worthwhile. I'll definitely come back to see those cuties.

The mattresses were Serta and comfortable, and we had a TV, microwave, fridge, and hot shower. That's really all we need. My husband and I came to Micanopy to bike and walk, and for a low-budget stay, this place works well. I've seen a lot of bad reviews, but the owners were cordial and friendly with us. It's outdated, though it was built in 1971. We'd stay again if we're in the area.

My brother booked a week here for his family on 8/31/24. They left after only about 4 hours because of the conditions: broken A/C, bugs, no TV, no wifi, and basically nothing as advertised. A hotel employee also let himself into their room with a key card without warning while they were inside. They expected not to get the first night's cost back, but the hotel refused to refund any of the deposit for the week they didn't stay. They keep saying online that the "situation has been escalated," while still denying the refund directly. Given this and the other reviews, don't do business with them.

The lady caretaker was really nice, and our bedding and towels were clean. We were comfortable, and we're grateful the place gave us shelter during that recent hurricane. Thank you! I don't understand the negative comments.
