Everything at the cabin was great, and the staff were wonderful. We were surprised with chocolate covered strawberries, cheese cake, blue muffins, and a fruit basket, all delivered right to the cabin. It was all delicious. The restaurant food that was delivered wasn’t up to par, though that wasn’t Serenity Spring’s fault. It was a great weekend, and we’ll be back again this season.
We stayed in the Sunset cabin back in July for our first wedding anniversary, and it was well worth it. My wife loved the rose petal package, and we made good use of the Butler box. We really enjoyed all the treats they brought us. We’ll definitely be back soon.
For New Year’s Eve we rented the butterfly cabin, our first visit, and it was beautiful. They decorated it for the New Year’s package, and it was very clean. We couldn’t hear the highway at all. The butler box was handy too. Thanks for making the stay so relaxing and unforgettable. We’ll definitely come again.
This was our second time at serenity springs, and my wife and I loved it again. Everyone and everything was great. Next time we’ll come when the weather’s better so we can walk our dog more and enjoy more of what the place has to offer. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic couple of days with the person they love 😊
The cabin was small and private, with a comfy king bed, reclining couch, and a massage chair we really enjoyed. It had the amenities we wanted, including a fridge stocked with apple juice, orange juice, and 7-UP, a microwave, sunken spa tub, heated floors, and an electric fireplace with a TV above it. There was also a back porch with a fire pit and gas grill. They left a personalized welcome card, balloon, and Hershey kisses. The Butler box was a nice touch: we could see its red light when something arrived, so we didn’t have to open the door and interrupt our privacy. They brought desserts, snacks, and other things we asked for throughout the evening. The king bed was very comfortable, and they brought extra pillows when we asked. There were a bunch of annoyances. The ceiling fan wouldn’t start until I jiggled the switch, then it only ran on low and wobbled. Since it’s high in a peaked ceiling, we couldn’t pull the chain to speed it up. We asked about getting a fan because we sleep hot and were going to buy one. Staff offered a floor fan. The first one they brought was broken, but they replaced it quickly. The headboard lights didn’t work either, though that wasn’t a deal breaker. The TV speakers cut out when we turned on the massage chair. The back doors didn’t lock, but they provide sticks to put in the tracks so they can’t open. There weren’t enough plugs or USB ports. They gave us an extension cord when we asked, which helped with my CPAP machine. Some light switches seemed to do nothing. The tub had stains, as other guests have mentioned, and rust on the jets. The controls were labeled, but the buttons for the main jets were so worn we couldn’t tell what they did. It took a while to fill, and the hot water is limited, so we had to turn off the cold water now and then to get it warm enough. The water also has to cover every jet or they won’t come on. The plank or Pergo type flooring that looks like wood was starting to warp in spots. Some other cabins have tile, so maybe they realized the flooring was a mistake and are replacing it gradually. The TV was hard to watch. The satellite picture was grainy on some channels, and the signal stopped entirely at one point. There’s no wifi, though cell service worked fine, so we could still get online. For the nightly price, the poor TV signal and lack of internet felt a bit cheap. They offer expensive pizza if you want food. You can order through Doordash, Grubhub, or another delivery service, but it has to go to the main office and staff bring it to the cabin. People have mentioned road noise because a freeway runs right beside the property. We didn’t really hear it, but our cabin wasn’t next to the freeway. It felt overpriced to me. They do add little extras, and we didn’t have any of the dirty cabin, bugs, or leaking tub and pipes some people have reported. Your experience may vary. The trip was about reconnecting and spending time together, and we did that and enjoyed it. Would I pay what I paid to stay here again? Probably not.
