Boone Trail Inn

The bathroom had hair in the shower, urine on the front of the toilet, no trash can, and not enough towels, washcloths, or toilet paper. You also had to remove the toilet lid to flush, and the bathroom window opened. The WiFi was awful. The hotel was being remodeled, with banging and drilling starting at 6:30am. A worker asked us to move our vehicle up top, and my husband did. Less than a minute later, the front desk called and asked him to move it again. Communication is key, but this place doesn’t seem able or willing to get it right.

The hotel itself is decent, but the owners were hateful and went through our room while we were away. They also made us switch rooms, and all of this was happening right outside my door while we had small children. It needs new owners to make the place nice.

The view around the hotel was gorgeous, and the front desk attendant was a very nice lady, quick, sweet, and smiling. Staff were cordial when I asked for ice, though it was kept behind the counter at the front desk, a little hike up the hill, and they had to fill my bucket for me. The room was nice enough, clean, and stocked with towels and toiletries. I wasn't happy about having to pay a $200 deposit to get a non-smoking room. I'd stay again if I had the opportunity.

There aren't many amenities and it's small, but the place is exceptionally clean and well kept. The staff were friendly even at 2am. If you're passing through, it's worth considering.
