Hampton Inn by Hilton Middletown

The location worked well for my job, but I won't stay here again. The room was old, the couch was stained, and there was bacon in it that was starting to smell funky. Then someone knocked twice in the morning to ask if I'd checked out, first at 930 and again at 1030. At 150 dollars, it wasn't worth it, even as a gold member.

I've stayed here twice this year and had a great experience both times. Tich at the front desk is awesome and was really helpful. The property is decent, the pool is outdoors, and the gym is one of the nicer HI gyms, with lots of options. My only downside was room 419, right by the elevator. It dinged constantly at all hours. Not a huge deal, but the *19 rooms are just feet from the elevator doors.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were okay, nothing special, and our bathroom sink drained poorly because the stopper was stuck.

The location is convenient, just off I84 and Route 17, and the Inn was quiet with spotless rooms in a modern style. Parking is plentiful and free. Staff were friendly, personable, and professional. The lobby shop has snacks, drinks, and many commonly forgotten items. Rooms include a small fridge and microwave, a single-cup coffee maker with coffee, flat-screen TV, landline phone, and plenty of outlets for charging. Continental breakfast is available. Wi-Fi is free after entering Hampton Inn rewards information; nonmembers still get it free, with limitations. At check-in, the rewards program was mentioned several times. Key cards open the rooms and side entrances: swipe in front of the camera, then wait for the click and small green light showing the door is unlocked. Late at night, the main entrance works the same way. If it's your first time entering, there's a call button for a staff member inside.
