Fairfield Inn & Suites Salt Lake City Midvale

Check-in went smoothly and the staff were friendly. I liked having two beds and two TVs, which gave everyone room to relax. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice. I had a great stay and would definitely come back.

Ana at the front desk on Saturday morning was the highlight of my visit. She was kind, sweet, and helpful. I learned she was from Texas, where I’m from too, and was only covering that shift before heading back. The bedrooms were spacious and very clean, and we loved the huge shower. The TV has internet options like YouTube, though it signs you out when switched off. Breakfast was good, with eggs, bacon one day and sausage the next, breakfast sandwiches both days, plus cereal, yogurt, waffles, toast, muffins, bagels, milk, juice, and coffee. The beds are hard. The main drawback is the location: if you’re on the side by the main street, loud cars and trucks carry into the building, and doors closing can make enough noise to wake a light sleeper.

The room cleaning during the last few days was incomplete: they made the beds and brought fresh towels, but never cleaned the toilet. We’d also been given just one key because there weren’t enough for all the hotel guests. At check-in, the king room we reserved wasn’t available. We were offered two queens or a special room for people with disabilities, which we chose not to take in case a guest who needed it could use it. This was my first stay here, and a very bad experience. In this great location, you can find cheaper hotels with better service.

Being close to TopGolf was nice, and the room was clean. But the heater kept running all night and made the room 80 degrees, which was miserable. Breakfast was stingy and the worst I’ve had in years, and the coffee was crappy. Stay somewhere else, it can’t be any worse.
