I’ve officiated weddings in some remarkable places as an interfaith wedding rabbi, and Homestead in Midway, Utah is one where the landscape becomes part of the celebration. In the Heber Valley, with the Wasatch Mountains all around, couples can exchange vows with mountain views, beside lawns and water features, or overlooking the golf course. The setting feels peaceful and significant, with trees, open skies, and landscaped grounds adding to the ceremony without taking it over. Homestead works well for a whole wedding weekend, not just the ceremony and reception. There are accommodations, places to gather, dining options, and curated guest experiences, so family and friends can spend real time together. The range of event spaces also gives couples flexibility, from the newly developed Barn and Carriage House to outdoor ceremony sites and elegant reception areas, all fitting the surroundings. For couples looking for mountain scenery, resort conveniences, and a memorable weekend with loved ones, I’m happy to recommend Homestead. Natural beauty, hospitality, and celebration come together here.

We had such a good time at Homestead. The pools were beautiful and really clean, and our room felt spotless and was just right. There was construction going on, but the staff did all they could to make things enjoyable and getting around the resort easy. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. The Milk House food was great, though the burgers are pricey. We liked having table games to play while waiting, and played chess and a few others. There were lawn games like corn hole on nice turf too, so we always had something to do. Loved the atmosphere, thanks Homestead!

I swam in every pool, and there are lots of different ones. They were amazing. The room was nice and clean too. I do wish the restaurant had been open, since I really wanted to eat in the spheres.

We stayed three nights in mid to late April. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the check-in staff and bellman were friendly and helpful. The crater was a neat experience, though not as hot as we expected, which obviously isn’t the resort’s fault since it’s a hot spring. Most staff were nice, except the guy at the crater, who had the personality of a stop sign. The food was a complete letdown. We paid over $50 for two wraps and two drinks. The wraps seemed like premade ones heated in a microwave convection oven, packed with cheese, and still cold in the middle. The amenities were disappointing overall. We knew about the construction beforehand.

The crater pool was pretty cool, and there are six pools in all. It’s a little pricey, but not terrible for what you get. The rooms were modern and extremely clean, and the location is good. Staff were super friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. They drove around in golf carts and helped with our bags, which was more service than we expected.
