Comfort Inn Boston Milford

I keep coming back because the location works for me, the rooms are clean, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the price is reasonable. But the long-running renovations have kept the pool area closed, which was one reason I chose this place, and they really need to finish soon. Breakfast has also been greatly reduced during the work, which is disappointing. They're still not back to full service.

For $110 a night, this was pretty disappointing. The staff were fine, but the hallways smelled strongly musty with stale cigarette smoke. After waking up, I noticed dozens of ladybugs or something similar gathered in the corners, and apparently nobody there had noticed.

There was no one at the desk when we checked in. The doors don't lock, and the bathrooms don't work. It feels like a half-abandoned place from some discount Stanley kubric/stephen king book, on the edge of a dysfunctional dystopian America. I was worried I'd get tetanus and wondered if it was some religious institution's tax write-off. Come for the stories you'll laugh about years later. Leave as soon as you can.

The place always smells like cigarettes. I left my towels out for replacement, but housekeeping never brought new ones. When I asked at the desk, the host was rude and said I couldn't have any, and that I could leave if I didn't like it. I paid over $700 for that?
