The town is adorable to wander around, with great shops. Willow, that home store, is fabulous! We had a lovely stay over Christmas week with our toddler. It was snowing when we arrived, and the staff were friendly and quick to help throughout. Our suite had lots of space and a very comfortable bed, and the linens felt luxurious. The bathroom’s heated floors were a lovely touch. The side room got very cold overnight, though, so we kept its door shut to stop the bedroom getting too chilly for our child. Breakfast came with the overnight stay and was excellent: continental pastries, fresh fruit, coffee and juice, plus hot eggs, bacon and home fries. The dinner restaurant was closed Tuesday and Wednesday, so we walked to Dominick Inn instead. The food and pizza were great, with a roaring fireplace, nice atmosphere and fast service. A family friendly hotel I’d happily recommend for a weekend getaway.

Such a find. The classic building has been updated in a modern way that still respects its history and heritage. The rooms are well appointed, with lovely bathroom amenities, a coffee machine, safe and bathrobes. The team was friendly, and the upscale restaurant had great food, cocktails and a wine list to match.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight, and it was complimentary each morning. Chef Jason Ruggeri prepared made-to-order eggs, smoked sausage and bacon, home fries, house-made yogurt with fresh fruit, croissants and pastries. And the cookies were honestly the best we’ve ever had. My husband and I were in the area over the holidays to see friends and stayed at Hotel Fauchère. Adam, the concierge, was pleasant and attentive from the start, and handled our requests thoughtfully. When we needed a larger room, he brought in his manager, Deena, who did everything she could to make it happen. If you’re in Milford, Pennsylvania, we’d highly recommend calling Hotel Fauchère for a comfortable holiday stay near the Poconos.

We came to Hotel Fauchère for a Valentine’s Day escape, and the room felt like home. Ours had a separate sitting area in a glass porch that can be used year round, so it was filled with natural light. It was charming and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and looked brand new. Such a sweet, cozy place for a romantic short stay.

Dinner the other night was a horrible experience, so my husband and I won’t be back. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered chicken, and his Delmonico steak was mostly fat. I’ve had better steaks at dennys. The manager, I think his name was Scott, kept going on about his guitar playing like he was Jimmie Hendrix. Then my husband went to the restroom and Scott came over and hit on me.
