Liz made my stay at the Aloft San Francisco Airport smooth and welcoming. She was professional, caring, and went out of her way to help, while showing the kind of leadership that could help the property run well. I hope the company recognizes her and considers her for a higher management role. She made a lasting impression, and I'm grateful to have had her representing the brand. I had originally booked at the Westin, but circumstances meant I needed to switch quickly to the Aloft across the way. The difference in service was clear. I know management styles and challenges can vary, but the service I got at the Westin didn't compare with the care and professionalism Liz showed when I arrived. I wish there were a million Liz’s at this location. Thank you for having such a remarkable employee.

After a 6.5-hour drive, we were relieved to find a parking spot, since spaces are VERY limited. The front desk guy was okay, neither especially friendly nor mean, just monotone. Our room was clean, nice, and pretty quiet. The only thing we heard overnight was water moving through the plumbing. We enjoyed the property overall. The airport shuttle was right on time and worked really well, and the large rooms were nice. The sink is outside the bathroom and takes up quite a bit of space, which didn't bother me but is worth knowing. The lobby had several sports on, so we could watch the Milwaukee Bucks and the World Series. The decor was cute, and it was a lovely place to stay before our flight. I wish it were in actual San Francisco so we could spend the week there. The restaurant options weren't great, though the cafe had snacks to buy.

The bar food was surprisingly good, which matters because it's the only food option. The hotel feels expensive and a little worn, and its modern look seems out of place in the industrial airport area. Some rooms also take a half-mile walk through several hallways and dark service corridors.
