Heritage Inn Milledgeville

The location is really convenient, with several restaurants and the mall close enough to walk to, so there’s no need to get back in traffic to find a meal. I’ve used Heritage Inn a few times when I needed a night away, and I’ve always enjoyed staying there. It’s affordable, the rooms are consistently clean, and things work. Once the TV remote failed, but the manager brought me another right away. The staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. I’ll definitely return and recommend it.

The location is great, and I’d stay again. The sofa and sofa table, desk and chair were nice, and the AC worked amazingly well. The fridge was cold and the microwave worked. There were a few problems, though: no shower curtain, neither nightstand lamp worked, and the door had no security bolt.

We evacuated to Milledgeville, Georgia, to get out of the way of hurricane Milton, and were hoping for a small hometown feel. Instead, the property was filthy. When I told the front desk guy, he said I should’ve checked the room at check-in. After dinner I saw that the tub, sheets, floors, walls, everything was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. I asked for a refund, but after he called the owner, I was told I wouldn’t get one. With the room in that state, I couldn’t let my young children sleep there. It’s upsetting that while evacuating from a hurricane we couldn’t get the right accommodations. The property has a lot of potential, but I wouldn’t recommend it under any circumstances. There was also price gouging. Once the hotel was packed, the owner started charging $175 a night, when the original price was actually $92. I’m so disappointed.

We booked while traveling for a funeral and got an email saying check-in was at 7am. I arrived at 11, waited 30 minutes before anyone greeted me, then was told to come back in an hour and a half. After we finally checked in, the TV remote was destroyed and took several hours to fix. The sheets and pillows were dirty, and they didn’t want to replace them with clean ones. I had to buy pillows and blankets with my own money so we’d have clean things to sleep with. I’ll never stay there again. On Thursday, the front desk guy sat at the counter clipping his toenails with his feet up on it. Just disgusting.
