Relax Inn Milledgeville

Disgusting. The room smelled so bad that an entire can of Febreeze barely covered it. The walls had been patched badly dozens of times, and neither bed had clean looking linens. I even got a “fresh” set from the front desk, but those were badly stained too. I gave one star only because zero wasn’t an option. This may well have been my worst hotel experience.

We were moved through three different rooms, and every one was horribly infested with bed bugs. We ended up getting a refund and going to the America's best value inn, which was so much better. It could have been five stars if it weren’t so expensive, but it was four. The relax inn doesn’t deserve even one star, maybe half a star just because the nightly price was cheap. There was no respect for customers, and the place was nasty and disrespectful. It was cheap, so what did I expect? 🤦

The staff were friendly, but this place needs a huge amount of help. The carpets and everything else need to go in the garbage. I arrived around 2am exhausted from travel and left by 5am. The room stunk and the carpets were filthy, so we kept our shoes on to lie down. I checked for signs of bed bugs and saw none, but the sheets were yellow with age and sweat. We slept on top of the bedspread without covers. I couldn’t sleep and left feeling like I needed a tetanus shot. I’d never recommend it to anyone wanting a clean place and a good night’s rest.

I visited friends who were staying there. The ceiling had stains from the room upstairs, and there were roaches and bugs. On a lamp with no bulb, previous tenants had left what looked like a blunt, using it as an ashtray. Filthy place. There are better places for the same price.
