Dew Drop Inn Motel by OYO Miller SD

For a one-night work trip, booking was easy, and the gentleman I spoke with was very kind. The heater and AC worked well, so I stayed warm, and the Wi-Fi was reliable while I worked on my laptop. The microwave and mini fridge were clean, though the fridge may have been set too cold because my food froze overnight. There was a small TV, desk, and microwave in the room too. The room seemed to have had a recent paint job, but it looked rushed, the kind of landlord special. A dirty white towel was sitting on the floor by the door like a doormat. There was no outlet near the bed, so I had to charge my phone across the room, and the bedside lamp had no bulb. The bedspread was old and visibly stained, and there were stains on the white sheets too. I skipped the bedspread and slept on top of the sheet, using my winter coat as a blanket because I wasn't comfortable using the extra one on the coat rack. I didn't check that blanket, though. The bathroom was tight, and someone larger than me might have trouble moving around in it. Its door wouldn't close all the way. Sink water stayed cold even after I tried both handles in case they were switched and let it run for several minutes. I didn't try the shower because I was worried the water would be cold there too. It was an okay motel and a useful asset for the Miller community. A few small improvements could make it a good option for short or longer stays.
