Cricket Hill Lodge & Cabins

The hot tub looking out over the pond was a highlight, and the fireplace made the suite feel special. It was spotless and cozy, just right for our romantic getaway, with a very comfortable bed and a kitchen that had everything we needed. Waterview Lodge is also close to Hershberger’s and plenty of local shops. We loved it and can't wait to come back.

The owners were lovely and quick to answer our questions, and the unit was clean. There was a big cobweb upstairs in the bedroom, though, and the bathroom cabinet top and fridge top could use dusting. I don't really agree with charging for early check-in or late checkout. Other rentals have let us in when the unit was ready or stay an extra hour without a fee. Still, those things didn't ruin the stay, and we'd come back. You should too.

Service was prompt and excellent, and the hot tub stayed wonderfully hot even in cold weather. We were in Waterview Lodge #4 on the main level, and could hear every step from the people upstairs. A floodlight outside the window also came through because there was no room darkening curtain. If you have trouble sleeping, I'd recommend bringing a mask and maybe earplugs.

We've spent one honeymoon and two anniversaries here, always returning to the same cabin. I'm sitting on the red couch writing this as we celebrate two years of marriage, and getting ready to book next year's visit, just like the last two times. Here's to many more years and stays!
