Days Inn by Wyndham San Jose Airport

I stayed the night before a flight. The room was better than I expected: clean and spacious, with a clean sofa and a small desk. There wasn't a closet, but there was somewhere to hang clothes, plus an iron and board and a wall-mounted hair dryer. I wish more hotels had that. There was also a refrigerator and microwave, and restaurants and a grocery store were nearby. The phone didn't work, and the bathtub had no stopper, so I couldn't take a bath. The location felt a bit sketchy, though that's not the hotel's fault. Thanks for a clean room.

The advertised free breakfast was basically coffee and packaged bagels and cinnamon rolls. We were first given a room that hadn't been cleaned, then moved to another one that was decently clean but smelled a little odd. If all you need is a bed for the night, it does the job, but not much beyond that.

I left my $200 electronic toothbrush in the room and called the next day. The front desk confirmed they'd found it and noted I would pick it up the following week. When I came back, staff said it was no longer available. I emailed the General Manager and got no response, and the hotel has ignored my attempts to resolve this fairly. It's deeply disappointing and shows little care for guests' belongings. If staff say they've found something, I should be able to trust that it will be returned. That wasn't my experience here. Worst customer service ever. I don't recommend Days Inn by Wyndham Milpitas, and I'm escalating my complaint to Wyndham corporate and consumer protection.

The photos make it look much better than it is, though housekeeping did a great job and the rooms were clean and spacious. The free WiFi didn't work at all during our stay, even with the passcode they gave us. Being near restaurants and stores did make the location convenient.
