Crowne Plaza - Milwaukee South

I left the hotel after being told to pack my bags, and now I'm being told I won't get the refund I was promised. I have a recording of the staff member saying it would arrive within 10 business days. I was also accused afterward of being drunk and rude, which is completely untrue. Earlier that night, I asked for a late checkout and was refused rudely. When I said the employee was being rude, she made it personal and said she'd seen me before in a negative way. A security guard joined the argument and sided with her instead of calming things down. I said I'd report it to management in the morning, since it was about 1 AM. She immediately told me to leave, and I did. At check-in, I'd politely asked for a clean room. This same front desk employee responded angrily, “You get what you booked.” I'd stayed here before and had already found her consistently rude. This was one of the most upsetting hotel experiences I've had. I believe I was treated disrespectfully, wrongly removed, and falsely accused. I want a full refund and a proper investigation.

The parking rate was reasonable at $8.80 a day with tax, and getting dropped off for our 6:00 AM flight went smoothly. We chose the Crowne Plaza for its airport location and booked through a third party. Getting back was a different story. Our flight landed at 9:35 PM, and the email said to call the hotel for a shuttle, available until 11:00 PM. We called seven times between 9:40 and 9:59. Each call seemed to be answered, then put straight on hold without reaching anyone. After almost 20 minutes of trying, we had to take an Uber, adding an unexpected $20. I can't recommend this parking service when the shuttle pickup failed like that.

We turned around and left after this. A cleaner manually locked the front door right in front of us, and two guests leaving nearly got caught by it. Once it shut, we waved and knocked at the window for about five minutes. The front desk woman stood nearby but seemed completely disconnected. I had to move to a window closer to her and nearly smashed it trying to get her attention. When I finally asked what was happening, she was rude and unprofessional, with an attitude like “I don't know, not my problem.” Terrible service.

I only found out the pool had been closed for months after I got back from meeting a friend in Milwaukee. My granddaughter and I wanted to locate it before changing into our swimsuits, since there was an event at the hotel. The front desk told us it was closed, even though it showed on the website. I had booked through Expedia after searching for a hotel with a hot tub and pool, and Expedia didn't say it was unavailable. If I'd known, I would've booked somewhere else.
