La Quinta inn & Suites Kingsland Kings Bay Naval Base

Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve had, a warm continental spread, and all the staff were friendly. Grace at the front desk was especially welcoming, polite, and professional. The beds were clean and comfortable, and I’ve got no complaints about the recent renovation. They really seem to have touched everything: fresh paint, new carpet throughout, fixtures, and granite. One request, please change up the lobby music. The same elevator song played on repeat, and after trying to relax in the lobby, I couldn’t stand hearing it over and over.

The staff were super friendly, and the location worked perfectly for our one night on the way to FL. We were glad to get a room at the last minute. The hotel’s being renovated, so there were dumpsters and mattresses outside. The bathroom had a horrible smell. Maybe it was a reaction from the cleaners, or maybe it drifted over from the next room, but it smelled like someone was smoking fun cigarettes in there. Also, the Wi-Fi didn’t seem secure. When we opened Google, their site binged back a warning about unusual activity on the server, which is beyond my knowledge. Would I stay again? Maybe, but it wouldn’t be my first pick.

We stopped here for one night on our way to Florida. It’s close to the 95, which was handy, and the room was clean. The shower worked fine, there were plenty of extra towels, and the AC worked great. It’s a nice hotel, with free continental breakfast. There’s a Cracker Barrel across the street. I’d recommend staying here.

Grace and Kayla were especially wonderful, and the room was comfortable. The pillows were the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. The place was clean and spiffy, and there was an area to take our 2 dogs out. Breakfast was simple, but had plenty of options. We’d be happy to stay again. The La Quinta in Kingsland, GA is now Spark by Hilton.
