Suburban Studios Milwaukee Airport

During my two night stay, the power in my room went out around 7 p.m. and stayed off for four hours. It was below freezing in Wisconsin, and the front desk suddenly called to make me move to another room. They offered to refund the second night. At checkout I confirmed that the refund would be processed and that the manager would be notified. In the end, the manager refused to refund the full amount and returned only $11.20. He said he’d review the recorded video and call me back, but never did. The manager is rude and dishonest. A horrible experience, don’t choose this hotel.

The whole building smelled like old tobacco. The lobby had that same smell mixed with cheap incense. Our room floors were filthy, and both sinks were backed up as soon as we arrived. Staff were slow and rude. It looked okay online, but turned out disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even a stray cat.

We stayed for a week and loved the place. The owners were kind and accommodating, and we were right next to everything we wanted to see. To save some money, we brought a cast iron pan and utensils and cooked for ourselves in the small kitchenette sometimes. Honestly, the best.

We were in the middle of moving into a new apartment, so my fiancé and I initially booked two nights at Suburban Studios over a weekend. I’d been a little nervous after reading negative reviews, but I’m confused about what they were talking about. The lobby, halls, and room were very clean, and the room seemed newly remodeled. It’s minimal but roomy, comfortable, and quiet. We extended by one night and stayed in the same room. That was quick and simple, unlike what we’d experienced at other hotels and motels. The location made planning our days easy. It’s right off the freeway, and 27th street has fast food, grocery stores, a pharmacy, a hospital, and more for miles. There are five slot machines off to the side of the lobby, which was pretty cool. We spent about an hour playing one night just for fun. The WiFi was a little weak and spotty, the only small issue. For the price, I’d recommend staying here and wouldn’t let the negative reviews put you off. Thanks for a comfortable stay.
