The staff were very accommodating, and the price is great for a room at this level. We had just stayed at a run-down Motel 6 in Reno for $10 less a night, so the comparison was striking. Here, the room seemed freshly carpeted and the bed looked new. It was extremely clean. You can hear traffic, though the street gets quiet after 9 pm.

We had a king room with a living area, a comfortable loveseat, a mini fridge, and a TV, plus a larger TV by the bed. Both screens had a great picture, and the room was very clean, with some parts updated and others still looking older. The motel is clearly trying to bring things up to date. The odd smell was unpleasant, though, and the deep jetted tub took 15 minutes to fill with its regular faucet. Then the jets wouldn't work, which was a big letdown. The place was just so-so.

I work nights and got woken up from a sound sleep by a leaf blower, then noisy neighbors, then loud staff. The place is very loud. My room also had ants. The advertised continental breakfast was six bagels and plastic-wrapped muffins, which doesn't seem like much of a breakfast. They wouldn't accept my Choice membership because my company paid for the room, though I know that's up to each hotel owner. The front desk person cut me off when I asked about my reservation extension, said they'd call a manager, and left me waiting 10 minutes because they didn't want to check the system, or couldn't. I don't know which. Hot water was available, but the heater worked only when it felt like it. The outdoor laundry dryer needed at least two cycles to dry clothes. I don't recommend it.

I especially like the rooms with the extra little living area. They feel much more comfortable and less like a standard hotel room, almost like home. The rooms are nice and kept at a comfortable temperature, which makes a huge difference when you walk in to somewhere warm instead of an ice box. The location is handy too, with all kinds of food and shopping just a short distance away.
