Holiday Inn Express Minden

Everyone here is friendly, and the staff are nice. But the rooms feel overrated for what you pay. At more than $150 a night, they’re still putting John Wayne paper toilet paper in the bathrooms, and the water pressure is just so-so. The beds are too soft and gave me crick in my neck. When the bill came, I had sticker shock, like the rooms were made of gold. They had carpet cleaners in on my first night. I’ve had carpets cleaned before and they were dry afterward, but these weren’t.

A very unpleasant, unprofessional interaction with the night front desk lady. She seemed untrained and couldn’t complete her tasks. It took 30 minutes to get a receipt printed for guest food. She refused to check in a customer because a US Federal Passport didn’t have a mailing address, and wouldn’t accept an IHG Diamond member account number or a verbally provided address. She also refused to connect us with the manager to sort it out. Then she complained to other guests about guests, other area hotels, and lazy employees who weren’t doing their jobs. The room key even had the wrong room number.

The hotel is always clean and nice. The staff are very friendly and help with anything I need. Highly recommend.

Angie, the General Manager, and her team made my one-night stay at Holiday Inn Express feel welcoming and easy from the moment I arrived. Angie’s personal attention and eye for detail really made a difference. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, and the dining was excellent. The facilities were top-notch. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
