Wingate by Wyndham Louisville Fair and Expo

We come to Louisville pretty often to see family, and the staff at the desk are always cheerful, helpful, and accommodating. The place is very clean, and breakfast is decent. One warning, though: avoid a room facing the expressway. It gets pretty loud at night!

Plans changed at the last minute and we needed a room. They had one available at a fantastic price, and the breakfast was hot and delicious. Check-in and checkout were easy, and our night was very quiet. I don't know what the other reviews were talking about. Thanks for a great stay.

The interstate noise is the one thing that would keep me from coming back, unless this were the only hotel available. My room was about 40-60 feet from the road, and traffic noise came through the thin windows constantly, almost as if they were open. It faded into white noise for me, but light sleepers may be kept up all night. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were great.

The staff were consistently nice and attentive, and breakfast was really good, with sausage, waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, diced potatoes, yogurt, fruit, and orange juice. We stayed seven nights. The lobby looked nice and smelled clean, and our room had laminate floors that I was comfortable letting my children crawl on. The room itself had a musty smell that hit us each time we came back, though we eventually got used to it. The location next to Bellarmine university felt unsafe when we first pulled up, but we felt safe at the hotel and saw no homeless people or drug addicts there. On the fifth night I saw what looked like a rat or mouse. They offered another room, which I declined, and gave us $40 off the last two nights. Luckily, we didn't see it again. I also saw only four roaches during the whole stay, so I guess that counts as a win.
