You'd be lucky to get someone to answer the phone, and when you arrive you may wait 30 minutes to check in because nobody is at the front desk. If you tell them you're checking out because you don't like the hotel, they keep your money, even when it doesn't seem like they're booked. The rooms are very dated: black mold on the bathroom ceiling, loose tiles, a shower that won't drain, no USB plugs anywhere in the hotel, and an AC unit from the '70s without a thermostat. There's no elevator. The gym has supposedly been under renovation for years, which feels like false advertising. If all you need is somewhere to sleep, it isn't so bad. For a decent hotel, avoid it like the plague. Breakfast is the bare minimum for a free meal, and I've never been so disgusted by scrambled eggs.
The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little dated, but with the great rates and location it was a very good deal. I picked it at random while in town for the Bolder Boulder, and it was the best bargain in the South-Boulder area. I'll stay again.
Edit: Rori was the only person who didn't yell at me about the situation. I spoke with Jason, the GM, today, and he was extremely rude. They're blaming Expedia, but Expedia says the hotel declined to refund me. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I paid for a room with a jetted tub, but Alyssa and Carmen were rude and unhelpful when I tried to sort it out. They gave me silly explanations about not being able to speak with a manager and seemed confused about the process. I was only trying to show Alyssa that my app advertised rooms with a jetted tub, so the mismatch on her end looked like a mistake. She refused to look at what I showed her and became combative. She eventually called her manager, Rori, after first saying she couldn't. Rori was okay. I'll file a formal complaint with the general manager and corporate office. Why work in customer service if you're going to have an attitude with customers?
The furniture is old and worn out, and the shower head is so low you have to duck to wash your hair. There's no elevator, so expect to carry your suitcase up a long flight of stairs. Several breakfast items were empty while we could hear staff joking around in the office. They allow dogs, which means multiple barking dogs and rooms that can trigger allergies because they aren't cleaned well enough after pets stay.
I spent five miserable nights here. The room was filthy, and the mattresses smelled bad as soon as we checked in. Housekeeping never came once, despite my asking every day. I was told, “I'm the only person here, I can't help you.” There was no elevator, and nobody offered help with our multiple bags even though we were clearly struggling. Breakfast was a disgrace, with not even basic milk available. Jason was shockingly rude and unwilling to help. His tone was dismissive and condescending from the start. He didn't answer questions or offer guidance, and acted like we were a bother for asking. His behavior was unprofessional and arrogant, and made the whole place look bad. I've traveled to more than 20 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This was hands-down the worst hospitality I've experienced. If I could give zero stars, I would. The place is disgusting, disrespectful, and a total waste of money. Don't book it.
