The price was under $100 for our night, and the room had a lot for the money: a full-size fridge and freezer, two-burner cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, small coffee maker, and even a laundry basket. The couch and ottoman were comfy, and the desk and chair worked well for relaxing or getting a little work done. The place was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the pantry shop was handy. The mattress was the problem. The queen bed sagged badly in the middle, so we kept rolling toward each other. I woke up with a backache and barely slept. It needs replacing. The pool was also closed because of a crack, which was disappointing since we’d packed swimwear. My wife and I liked the value and the part of town, but the bed took a lot away from the stay.

The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choices. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were very clean. We had a great stay and would definitely come back.

Connie was welcoming and kind, and the location is convenient, far enough from town to avoid the crowds but not too far away. The room was in rough shape. It smelled of mildew and mold as soon as the air came on, which made me wonder if it was even safe. There was water damage and mold on the bathroom ceiling, the tub needed replacing, the doors were falling apart, and the carpet was torn. The bed was comfortable, but it had cigarette burns all over it. I’ve seen other complaints and the hotel has done nothing to fix these problems. We won’t stay here again.

Connie at the front desk was pleasant, hospitable, and as helpful as she could be. She was the best part of our stay. The room had a dark stain on the couch, marks on the sheets and ceiling, and a cracked mirror frame. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut, its handle fell off, and there was no ventilation fan. The pool was closed during our visit, through no fault of the staff. There weren’t any cups for the coffee. The dining room attendant said the GM had been told two days earlier they were out. Why make coffee if guests have nothing to pour it into? We got through one sleepless night and were glad to leave. There were several issues, even if each might seem minor on its own. Connie and the dining room attendant looked like they’d had to apologize to guests repeatedly over the past few days. Upper management should address this, because it reflects badly on Staybridge Suites.
