The rooms smelled a little musty, and breakfast wasn't very good. We were also billed twice for the room and charged $97 for incidentals, even though there weren't any. I'm still trying to sort it out with the credit card company. Choice corporate hasn't helped at all. Never again.

It was peaceful and quiet, and the location worked perfectly for the activities we had planned. The photo shows the intersection where the hotel is. From a second-floor room you'd probably get a good view; we were on the first floor, and some trees got in the way, but the view was still not too bad.

Really cozy and quiet, and the pool and jacuzzi didn't seem overloaded with chemicals. If we're ever back this way, I'd stay here again. It was much better than the Holiday Inn we stayed at in illinois!

Their Google search listing says they're pet friendly, but that's not true. You have to dig through the website to find the no-pets rule. I always double-check, thankfully. I called, and the man who answered just said, "No," then hung up right away. I also canceled my reservation, but was still charged. When I called about it, the guy kept interrupting, wouldn't let me speak, and hung up again. You'd have better luck staying in dodgeville. Beware of this place.

We did enjoy our stay, and the pool and hot tub were nice. At first, the person at the desk told us there were no rooms. We went out, booked one online, then came back, and suddenly there was a room because we had a reservation. Later we realized it was wheelchair accessible. I'm not sure if they don't usually use those rooms, but at least we didn't have to drive farther to find somewhere to sleep.
