The Travelers Inn

My husband and I recently took over managing the hotel. We're working on making it more family-friendly, remodeling rooms with hardwood floors, and getting our daily rates back. We've weeded out the bad people and are doing our best to keep the rooms clean. Guests paying the daily rate will get brand-new bedding. Pets are still allowed and welcome on the property.

The room was lovely and looked freshly remodeled, although work was still going on during my stay. We had adjoining rooms, and they were pretty much soundproof from each other. The front desk clerk didn't speak much English, but he tried, and it wasn't a problem. I thought it was odd that there were no phones in the rooms, though the clerk came by once or twice to check on us. We also got real keys instead of cards, which you don't see much anymore.

The bedding was clean and nice, and the roll-in bed worked well for the kids. The rest of the room was disappointing for $120 a night, which I felt should've cost less than $80. There was no hot water, so I couldn't shower, and I found Fruity Pebbles and rice in the dresser and kept our clothes in our bags. The furniture and walls were stained. The wheelchair ramp is broken off the building, despite the sign and website saying the hotel is wheelchair accessible. It isn't safe to use. The place could be decent if they put real time into cleaning it up.

The managers were rude, kicking people out for no reason and turning away an ESA service dog. They'll harass you, follow your car, and yell and swear at you. Whoever put these managers in charge should be fired, along with the managers and employees. The whole place smells like weed and dog piss.
