Courtyard Minneapolis Downtown

The bar and bistro were a great extra, and there was plenty of space to hang out. We came from Vegas and picked this place at random for our visit, and it turned out to be well worth it. Everything was clean and accommodating, the staff were so nice, and housekeeping was especially lovely. Really glad we stayed here.

The rooms were clean, and the beds and chairs were comfortable. We found the staff very helpful, and the accommodations were exceptional. Food at Bistro Bar came out hot, tasted good, and wasn't overpriced. Service there was okay, though the Bistro Bar staff weren't especially friendly.

I used to think this courtyard hotel was one of the best places to stay, so I don't know what changed. I arrived yesterday and noticed several differences, including the staff's attitude. They said they were dealing with system changes, but I can't see why that should mean being so nonchalant about customers' needs. I won't be back.

There wasn't even a trash bag in the bin, so I couldn't take out the rubbish after my family ate food we'd ordered in. That made the service feel suspiciously manipulative, like the restaurant was being pushed on guests. And the continental breakfast was, as my kid put it, “dust”: runny oatmeal we mistook for gravy, plus some bread and a toaster. The fruit was the only good part. For a hockey team, come on, where's the protein? The Residence Inn by Marriott next door had eggs and sausage, the sort of breakfast you'd expect at a hotel.
