Don’t move here, even if the rent sounds cheap. There’s a reason for it. One elevator has been out of order for months, and packages keep getting stolen. Mine were taken twice in one week. Management sends notices about thefts but hasn’t put in cameras or dealt with the problem. Instead, they tell residents to change how deliveries are made. It feels like the thieves may live here, and the administration is a joke.

The location is convenient, and the new maintenance crew is great. They’re polite, respond quickly, and are here every day from 9 to 5. Management has changed, and I think the new team is trying, but it’s been almost a year and the problems are still there. They hold resident Wednesdays with wine or breakfast, too. My partner and I were excited to get our first luxury apartment together in our favorite neighborhood. So far, though, the experience has been awful. Amenities are often broken or dirty, security is lacking, and packages regularly go missing. There’s very little surveillance: I’ve seen one lobby camera that people turn around, two in the garage, and maybe one in the package room. The package room also has limited hours. Questionable people hang around the lobby and stairwells, and nobody seems to be in the office. The resident portal barely works. Rent has come out of my personal account without being credited to my resident account. Move-in costs were nearly $3,500, and I’m not sure we’ll get any of that back when we leave. For what this place costs, we could live somewhere without these problems.

Know your rights as a renter. My friends and I lived here from May '23 to May '24, when City Club was managing the property. They kept our deposit. Saturday took over and also didn’t return it. We sued both under the Minnesota deposit rules, which say the money should be returned within three weeks after the tenancy ends and provide for a $500 bad faith fee if the landlord still hasn’t complied two weeks after recovery efforts begin. Neither party showed up in small claims court, so we won by default. We couldn’t reach either company afterward until I went to Saturday’s corporate office in St. Louis Park and refused to leave before someone answered the door. Nine months after moving out, we finally got back twice the deposit plus $500. I’ve tried dealing with both City Club and Saturday, and the new management was no easier to contact than the old one, except that it has a local office. This one-star rating still feels deserved, whoever is running the property now. Saturday, if you’re reading this, don’t reply asking me to call your number. I’m not interested in changing the review, and you wouldn’t answer the phone anyway.

I finally get to leave after a year, and I feel bad for anyone who has to live here now. I contacted the new management about the problems, but they handled them just like the previous team. The only offer was a one-time car cleaning, which felt token and didn’t resolve anything. A leaking garage pipe damaged my car. Management said they’d fix it, but ignored my follow-ups by email and in person. For almost three months I had to park elsewhere and pay for the car repairs myself. They wouldn’t let me end my lease, despite failing to deliver on the promises in the contract. Security is a joke. People from the street get in to sleep in the halls or use drugs. A syringe and drug foil were left in a stairwell for a long time even after several residents reported them. Packages are stolen often, and cars have been broken into repeatedly. The shared areas and apartments are neglected. Maintenance requests take ages, and the eventual work is often incomplete or poorly done. The pool and jacuzzi are either broken or filthy, and the amenities are old and poorly maintained. Staff seemed useless and uninterested in residents’ concerns.
