Hotel Ivy, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Minneapolis

The bathroom was the highlight for me, with a huge tub, a separate shower, and plenty of space. The room was clean, and staying at the Ivy made getting to the convention center easy. A staff member even checked the clearance for several parking ramps and directed us to one tall enough for our truck. My only gripe was the pillows. I’d just stayed at the Hilton, where they were amazing, but that’s not enough to knock off a star. I’d stay here again.

The lobby’s hot chocolate bar on Christmas Eve was such a nice holiday touch, and we had a great time at the bar too. The drinks were excellent, and the bartenders happily told us about some of the less familiar spirits on the menu. Patricia made our stay from Dec 23-24 feel special right from the start. She arranged an early check-in so my fiancé could sleep after a rough red-eye, then surprised me with prosecco and a delicious piece of cake for my birthday. Daniel, David, and Patricia were all so welcoming and helpful. We’ll be back.

The staff were so professional and kind, and housekeeping even checked that we had everything we needed. My brother and I had a quick staycation, ordered room service twice, and everything was a 10/10. The room was spotless and well stocked, with a spectacular view. Kudos to everyone at Ivy, this is the kind of service you want.

My husband and son stayed one night and came home talking about how comfortable the beds were and how fresh breakfast tasted. They ordered steak, a burger, and fries through room service after arriving around dinner time, and it came quickly. The staff welcomed them warmly, and a treat basket for my son after dinner was a lovely surprise. We’ve stayed at luxury hotels and resorts around the country, but this place still went the extra mile. We don’t have high Marriott status or any connection to the hotel, and being treated like special guests makes us want to return. They didn’t have time for the spa, unfortunately. One thing we skipped was valet because it was pricey. The garage a block away was only $16.
