Snelling Motel

The room was really nice, with a comfy enough bed, a good shower, and a nice TV. I found most of the dust behind the TV. The doors and security system seemed up to date, and the internet worked great. Even though the place is right by the light rail, with a stop half a block away at VA, the noise never bothered me. I stayed in June 2019 while visiting my son for his sixth birthday. They were renovating then, and it looked like a newly owned, Hindu family-run place with a modern style. The family was very kind, and the mother gave my son extra attention. I thought the price was fair. The outside could use some work, but this was a nice family-owned motel, cheap but fair, like Bob's Burger. I’d definitely return. It had what I look for in a place to sleep at night.

The location was convenient, and my room was very clean. Thanks for making my stay pleasant.

The building is old, but it seems well cared for. I had a very good stay, and the rooms were clean.

I booked through Expedia and was able to get a full refund and book somewhere else, thankfully. I didn’t feel safe staying here after what happened at check-in. The woman at the desk judged me by my appearance, said the deposit could be up to $500 even though the room was only $100, then asked if I was smoking while I was inside the building and not smoking. She also said guests weren’t allowed, a rule I hadn’t known about. When I asked about it, she threatened to call the police and cancel my reservation, and insisted I wouldn’t get a refund. A man came over and tried to sort things out; he was courteous at most. If you need to stay in the area, I’d pay a little more to go elsewhere. It’s not worth the stress or loss of peace of mind. Paying customers deserve respect.
